hey hey.. well its pretty much the end of the road for survivor vanuatu, just like 2004.. damn that was quick.. hmm have been catching the last few episodes faithfully to see who would win.. ahaha don't ask me why.. but yeah just for curiousity i guess.. how in the world did the single guy stay in there? the women certainly played themselves out with all those bickering.. and yeah bitchin' too.. pretty hilarious to see the last remainding guy hanging in there by playing with the women's disputes to his advantage..
well went to sake sushi for lunch today, and met a couple of friends from primary school.. was quite a nice thing to finally get the opportunity to see them again, gave each other hi's and byes, caught up abit, and most importantly refresh those old memories.. cos we all pretty much wandered away from one another.. despite making all those childish promises of friends forever.. when we were like really young kids.. haha primary school lah.. how i wish everything was as simple and innocent as it was then.. but then.. nevermind..
ahh the anticipation.. i can't .. and i mean can't wait to catch ocean's twelve.. a movie with a truckload of superstars.. did u catch the first one? ocean's eleven.. really cool film.. well like one of my friend pointed out.. its basically a 'real madrid ' film.. haha.. all those superstars.. for goodness sake.. its a miracle the producer could find the adequate resources to pay the appearance price tags for the various stars such as the $20million dollar smile lady Julia Roberts, George Clooney, Brad pitt etc.. like who in the world can sponser so much money? ahah but then again there are people like roman abramovich.. so yeah.. hmmm i wonder how its like to receive $20 million us dollars for just a movie appearance at least... ahh..
and yeah.. my legs are like itching from the lack of soccer..

ok ok like any soccer buff, i stayed up till the wee hours of the morning to catch the live champions league action on cabletv.. well thursday morning that is, for the match between liverpool and olympiakos... well it was a must win match for liverpool to qualify for the next knockout stage.. and due to goal difference in the table, liverpool had to either hold olympiakos to a 1-0 win, or they had to win by 2 clear goals.. that was crappy... ok so i brought out the snacks and drinks in good spirits, as liverpool was playing at home, so i thought they should be able to hold a 1-0 win..
but yeah, things didn't go smoothly.. well at the beginning that is.. because olympiakos had scored a goal early in the first half, despite liverpool doing the most attacking and having the most possession.. time passed.. and liverpool thus found themselves in a ditch.. a ditch so deep it seemed impossible to climb out.. they had to like freaking score three goals in the seconda half.. due to goal difference that they had to win by 2 clear goals.. what a bitch.. i was like on the brink of shutting the tv in dismay.. but then.. a master stroke by the manager.. a second half change as benitez brought in pongolle.. a pair of fresh legs.. and liverpool struck with an equaliser just 50 seconds into the seconda half.. so i was like ok, faizal relax theres still hope.. the crowd was making a hell lot of noise.. then a second substitution neil mellor, who came on and scored a stunning goal to bring it to 2-1.. i could feel the tension and an air of nervous anxiety.. it was like oh shit.. one more goal.. i couldnt freaking stand it.. then a moment of brilliance by steven gerrard.. a last min 20/30 metre strike that brought the entire crowd to its feet.. and yeah my feet too together with all the liverpool fans in the whole i assume around the world who were watching the match on tv... sorry guys (my family) for screaming my head off when gerrard scored.. it was just amazing lah.. i thought the win over arsenal was good.. but what i saw on thursday morning was the best comeback game ever.. it they play with such character all the time.. the premiership title is a sure thing.. mann i must go to anfield, england one day.. i need to watch a live liverpool match.. at least once..
well i dragged myself out of bed around 12 in the afternoon, pretty tired from the liverpool match that i watched in the early morning.. but yeah i still had to get up, cos later in the afternoon, i had to attend andy's passing out parade as a clt.. yeah clt.. that joker.. hahaha, ok lah its an honour for yuhua to have u as a clt happy? help.. i think i am being infected by his lame shit catch-phrases.. anyway yeah on a serious note, watching the parade really brought back memories of the ncc days in secondary school.. haiz the walk back to hq ncc was so nostalgic.. anyway it was a good day, did a little catchup with andy's older brother ( a fellow liverpool supporter, erhem.. definitely got future) and gabriel as we chatted alot along the way on the train.. and the parade was quite good also, seeing some familiar faces too as jasrizal, calvin, hisyam, hazeeq and jason were there too.. wahh andy you look very smart in no.1 lah (hmm maybe i shldnt say this..), shit you got to wear it twice lah lucky ass.. haha.. eh and whos that girl? wah your life damn boring didnt tell me about it yet.. eh wait a sec i think u did right?.. maybe i forgot :D..
thursday 10th december.. a day of days.. definitely a day to remember ..

band of brothers.. its basically a series of ten episodes based on the paratroopers of easy company during world war 2.. directed by tom hanks and steven speilberg.. ahh.. what a series.. well i borrowed the dvd from my cousin and watched the entire series.. basically a whoppin 10 hours straight.. yeah that was mad.. but i just couldnt stop.. it was very engaging and yeah sad too.. beautifully shot.. well scripted and the actors.. woah they were great.. incredibly realistic, as even my palms were sweating in anticipation during the scene where the soldiers were waiting anxiously in the plane to jump into normandy.. the show was gory.. but not like saving private ryan i can assure u.. its much much better i may add.. as it captures and depicts the monotony between the insanity of the war.. shit i can't imagine how the soldiers in iraq are feeling now that i think of it.. it packs alot of humour too.. surprisingly.. hey anyone of you who are reading this post must see it.. war movie buff or whatever.. hell both my sisters got hooked onto it too despite protests that they hate war movies etc.. haha.. the series has a kind of documentary/movie like feel to it.. which is great, packed with very interesting history notes and literary quotations.. i wouldnt want to post the contents and main plots of the series.. as you really gotta watch it yourself.. really..

love.. it doesn't have any boundaries does it? someone you cherish, someone you would die for, someone you wanna be with.. or is love all really just about a union between a man and a woman.. to conceive.. to ensure the evolutionary cycle.. the natural flow? ... well all these talk about homosexuality nowadays... well noone can blame the fact for its growth.. people have more choices now i assume.. or should i say people dare to step across the line, the boundary.. cos though its still considered a sacrilege.. i dun see mobs of people burning homosexuals down jurong east st.24 .. as from the past.. or maybe its the way people live now? our mindsets changed? more open? ah.. for me personally? i dun really care.. cos i dun really know myself how homosexuality came about honestly.. nor am i curious about it.. all i wanna say is.. its just basically about one's own perception towards things.. well i wun personally feel its the best or the healthiest form of relationship.. esp gay men who basically risk aids sheesh >.< .. but its one's own choice i suppose.. u can't really say its wrong or right.. though religion says otherwise.. but people are just making too much of a fuss about this homosexuality thing.. just give it a rest.. its kind of sad, as even i am guilty of making some rather nasty comments of homosexuals before.. but when u stop and think about it, if you were in their shoes.. it would be like you doing something that you feel is so perfectly normal, and yet you are cursed for it.. and yes they are human beings too..

Some day, when I'm awfully low,
When the world is cold,
I will feel a glow just thinking of you...
And the way you look tonight.
Yes you're lovely,
with your smile so warm
And your cheeks so soft,
There is nothing for me but to love you,
And the way you look tonight.
With each word your tenderness grows,
Tearing my fear apart...
And that laugh that wrinkles your nose,
It touches my foolish heart.
Lovely ... Never, ever change.
Keep that breathless charm.
Won't you please arrange it ?'
Cause I love you ...
Just the way you look tonight.
Mm, Mm, Mm, Mm,
Just the way you look to-night.
-From the late Frank Sinatra to you.

sheesh.. mann am i finally back to blogging.. its been a long while, somehow i didnt have the time to come online lately.. or even have the chance to sit in front of my once 'beloved' computer.. haha okok.. i still love u computer ok? so dun go crashing on me now..
well to give a recap on the things that i did for the past few weeks, well to put it in one word.. it would definitely be 'eventful'.. haha certainly had enjoyed myself.. its been great.. well it all started with the chalet that i had with my ex-schoolmates from secondary school.. certainly great bonding time over there, and boy did the 'aloha-resort' apartment rocked, prop's to u man galex.. it costed quite abit, but it was sure worth it.. haha i felt i was in some kind of mansion.. lol maybe i am exaggerating quite abit.. but hell the chalet apartment had like a kitchen, lobby, living room, four bedrooms with toilets and a balcony fitted with a barbeque pit.. and to top it all off, we had a sea view.. it was kind of weird to find myself relaxing and sleeping on a bed (when i needed some shut eye that is), due to the fact that all my previous chalets resulted in me either sleeping on the floor, in the open or not sleeping at all due to the lack of beds and space.. apart from that, me and rizal had to go home to get some stuff (real stupid idea), so we had to walk all the way out from the aloha resort to downtown east.. and yeah the trip back to the resort wasnt pleasant as we lost our way... somehow we took the wrong turn.. finding ourselves at some eerie and abandoned stretch of road.. almost pitch dark too.. fortunately we did meet anything else =P.. one of the highlights was on the second night though, when we all gathered in the living room.. while erhem.. the 'bravest' one me.. haha.. okok not quite.. but yeah i played some horror japanese game called 'Fatal Frame' while everyone looked on.. boy did the game freak me out.. haha it was a great time to play the game too, cos the chalet that we were at is kind of situated in an isolated area.. so the quite surrounding played to the eerie effect and disturbing scenes from the game... i swear i wun play it alone.. and yeah rizal.. u didn't help me by screaming abruptly at the sight of every spirit/demon... one the last night, we ended it by giving a surprise birthday celebration to the one and only xian zhi, who as usual got the honour of having a cake smacked into his face.. zaharah u seriously need aiming lessons.. u basically shoved the thing into his nose.. wth.. haha
ok next up, went over to my cousins place for a sleepover.. as for some reason i was too lazy to go home, as his bloody terrace is some isolated.. and my uncle/aunt were to come home late.. thus i couldnt hitch a ride home.. well i ended up staying there for two-three nights, but yeah it was fun, had basketball and stuff.. and shit i can't keep my hands of 'Amber'.. mann i love her.. haha ok yeah she's a dog.. i can't really remember the name of her breed but who cares, i still luv her.. haha ok yeah i know i am a muslim.. but ermm.. somehow i still cant help it lah.. haha.. everytime she licks me.. i gotta go to the toilet to wash the saliva and stuff.. hilarious.. the next day or so, went out to go for a movie marathon.. well some sort, as she(not the dog lah) and i practically watched four movies at one go.. one of them was 'the incredibles', yeah i recommend the movie to anyone, its a hell lot of fun to watch.. and yah the cgi was jawdropping.. went for dinner, chatted.. well it was a great day of hanging out basically.. next up was sibu islands in johore.. went there for a short vacation break.. ahhh.. the sand.. the beaches.. well the place was awesome visually.. crystal clear waters and stuff.. but i was practically cut off from the world.. no pc's, cable television and handphone reception.. haha.. got a slight taste of what it would be like to be trapped on an island alone.. i wld definitely just die.. haha.. shit i missed like a whole lot of hockey training sessions too, due to all these outings and distractions.. haha shit.. totally screwed..
so so sorry galex, didn't make it to your birthday celebration at sentosa.. somehow i would make it up to you though i dunno how =x, well if you are reading this, sorry again brudder.. hmm about three more weeks or so towards the beginning of a battle.. the final test (haha drama a bit lah), well its the dreaded a levels that is.. hmmm dun really wanna think about it yet, just work hard i guess.. sucks.. oh yeah, a week more to go to the passing out parade of my buddy, yeah lah andy miss you lah ok? muacks.. bleah did i just say that? shit.. hmmm got quite a number of new playstation2 games.. mgs3, prince of persia 2, nfsu 2 and ace-combat5.. sigh have been waiting for their releases since last year, and yet now though i have them.. i havent really had the time to want to sit down and play them.. hmm i guess thats a good thing? well its definitely better for my eyesight..
shit i still cant forget neil mellors tremendous volley against arsenal... i guess there is still hope without baros and ciise...
yeah the end of november too marks a great benefit for me.. lol.. i just terminated my singtel 256kbps internet subscription for a wireless 3000kbps subscription with starhub via a USB network adapter so my sister's imac can hook on too.. hahaa the speed.. well okok 3000kbps aint no supercomputer speed, and my pc's no super.. just a paltry 1.8g pentium4... but hey hey i smell christmas.. haha.. a new computer maybe? shhhh.. havent been using my 3000kbps connection lately.. somehow a neighbour below has a faster connection... thus with the wonders of a network adapter.. leeching sure is fun.. =D i think u know the rest..
